A BUCKET OF SAND IN THE DESERT

The United States' government is investing 1.2 million dollars to keep Russian and Ukrainian women from ending up as sex-slaves in the west. "A bucket of sand in the desert", the leader for the crisis center for mistreated women in Moscow says.
60000 Russian and Ukrainian women vanished without a trace in United States alone in 2001. All in all 176000 women were tempted to leave the two countries and "settle" in western countries. It's clear that most of them were offered false, "ordinary" jobs and then subjugated into slavery.
The United Nations high commissionary for refugees says that people being sold and subjugated into slavery should have a right to asylum in the country they're eventually surfacing.
   - International slavery has increased so much that this is one of numerous laws and regulations that must be changed and improved.
