BLAIR WANTS TESTING OF ALL SUSPECTS

Prime minister Tony Blair of Great Britain wants DNA testing of everybody suspected of breaking the law. Within the next three years all criminals, from shoplifters to murderers, shall be registered in a national DNA register. The British police is already given permission to do DNA-tests of anyone who're either suspected of or charged with criminal acts. Even those who are merely reported to the police for allegedly having committed a crime may be registered. One is more than tempted to wonder: Who are next?
Britain was one of the first nations where the police started using widespread video surveillance.
