  The Kingdom of the Dead
  by Amos Keppler
I see it all around me
I see it in the streets
I see it in the creatures
  Pretending to be human
  Walking the streets
I see the cathedrals of Civilization
  Wherever I go
I see the death of spirit
  The death of fire
  The absence of humanity
  Even in the distant wilderness
  Planes are passing
  Above my head
  Civilization can never be left
  As long as it there
I see it wherever I turn my eyes
The Kingdom of the Dead  Had to pee before I pee on myself
Had to eat because I am hungry
Had to walk because I want to walk
Had to live, because I am Human  For millennia seers have prophesized
  About a distant kingdom
Where Death is in every corner,
Every nook and cranny of the world
Where Life is Destroyed on every level
Where humans are hardly more than ghosts
  Sickly, pale creatures of doom
Stumbling through a gray, desolate landscape
  Into the twilight
That kingdom is distant no longer
  That kingdom is today
  It’s not a mythical kingdom
In the fairy tale of religion
  It’s real and tangible
A hell of our own making
  Prophecy fulfilled
  Rejoice humanity
The Final Days are finally here  Have to pee before I pee on myself
Have to eat because I am hungry
Have to walk because I want to walk
Have to live, because I am Human
